WHEN & WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO PLAY RACQUETBALL? I first learned to play the game at Little Creek Amiphibious Base, Norfolk, VA

RACQUETBALL BACKGROUND? I have been playing the sport of racquetball since 2001, and since then, I have been a huge advocate of the game. I have competed in several national and Internation Tournaments. Recently, I along wtih Mr. Hank Marcus (WOR) and Ms. Peggine Tellez (former president of CSRA) founded the new organization, Military Racquetball Federation (MRF) - where we were solely responisble for organizing and coordinating for the first time of putting an outdoor racquetball court on a large-deck aircraft carrier. As well as organizing and running the first National All Military Racquetball Championship in San Diego, CA.

WHAT IS THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR RACQUETBALL CAREER IN THE MILITARY? The highlight of my racquetball career in the military has to be actually pulling off the first ever outdoor exhibtion / clinic on a large-deck aircraft carrier. This is someting that has never been done fefore in the Navy!

WHEN & WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO PLAY RACQUETBALL?I took up racquetball late in my sporting life - age 22. I had a couple of good coaches from the Davis Athletic Club in Northern California. Now 20+ years later, I still love it!!

RACQUETBALL BACKGROUND: I have been a sponsored player for ProKennex for about 15 years. I have served the CA state association since 1992 - 7 years as its president and currently serving as Immediate Past President and SoCal Vice President.

WHAT IS THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR RACQUETBALL CAREER IN THE MILITARY? Helping to Co-Found the United States Military Racquetball Federation (USMR).

MRF INVOLVEMENT: I am proud and excited to have been with the MRF since the start, having met LCDR Steven Harper in May 2009. This project which grows racquetball but more importantly serves the men & women who have & do protect us. It is truly an honor to be involved with the MRF.

RACQUETBALL BACKGROUND? Playing wise, I rose to be in the top four in the Men's A's and Men's 45+ in California and in the ten in the 45+ in the AARA.

WHEN & WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO PLAY RACQUETBALL? 1972 in Buffalo, NY and I have been playing continually since then!

RACQUETBALL BACKGROUND?

* Sponsored by Ektelon for 20 years.

* Play socially, in leagues, local and National tournaments.

* Teach lessons including junior programs.

* Serve on the board of the California/Nevada Racquetball Association (CNRA), Women's Senior Masters Racquetball Association (WSMRA), USAR , and chairman of the USAR Women's Committee, and Ektelon Women's Committee.

MRF Involvement: I began my MRF involvement assisting with the first All Military Championships in San Diego in 2008 and was hooked! It is an honor to be a member of the MRF and be able to give back to those who do so much for us through a sport I love.
